Art On the Kinni is a one day event (always on the 1st Saturday after Labor Day) in downtown River Falls, WI on a beautiful setting along the Kinnickinnic River. Fair headquarters, food vendors and some of the exhibiting artist sites are in Heritage Park, but most of the artists are spread along the White Pathway as it follows the River. More food vendors are set up at the south end of the Pathway. There is live music on two stages, one halfway down the Pathway, amongst the artist booths, and the other in Veteran's Park, across a pedestrian bridge from Heritage Park, and in the center of downtown. There is a bustling Children's Art Tent in Heritage Park. Comments from participating artists indicate Art on the Kinni is a favorite event among exhibitors.
Sites are mostly on grass, with a few on concrete/asphalt. Most sites are shaded. Relief from volunteer staff is available, as needed, to give exhibitors short breaks. Morning coffee, water and sweets are also provided during set-up hours. Early setup is allowed from 4 to 8 pm on Friday.
Art on the Kinni is a rain or shine event, so come prepared. This signature event is sponsored by the River Falls Community Arts Base www.riverfallscab.org.
